Study

Here you can study for the exam. Look up keywords and learn definitions about all kind of subjects.

Ambulance

An ambulance is used to transport emergency services to a place where urgent help is needed and to transport victims or patients to the hospital.

Bus

A bus is a vehicle intended for the transportation of people. Buses can have a capacity as high as 300 passengers. The most common type is the single-deck rigid bus, with larger loads carried by double-decker and articulated buses, and smaller loads carried by midibuses and minibuses while coaches are used for longer-distance services.

Car

A car or automobile is a wheeled motor vehicle used for transportation. Basically a car drives primarily on roads, seats one to eight people, has four tires, and mainly transport passengers rather than goods. Cars have controls for driving, parking, comfort and a variety of lights. Over the decades additional features have been added, making them more complex but also more reliable.

Caravan

A caravan or camper is towed behind a road vehicle to provide a place to sleep which is more comfortable and protected than a tent. It provides the means for people to have their own home on a journey or a vacation, without relying on a motel or hotel, and enables them to stay in places where none is available. However, in some countries campers are restricted to designated sites for which fees are payable.

Cyclist

A cyclist is a road user who moves with the bicycle in traffic. If there is no bike path, they drive on the road with other traffic. Respect for each other contributes to safe and smooth traffic. Important safety features are bicycle lighting, helmet and a bell.

Driver

A driver is someone who drives a vehicle. Anyone who drives a vehicle or guides, or guards, towing, loading and riding animals or cattle.

Moped

Mopeds are road users who move with the moped in traffic. Generally having a less licensing requirement than a full motorcycle.

Motorcycle

A motorcyclist is a road user who moves with a motorcycle in traffic. Motorcycles have a higher rate of fatal accidents than cars, trucks or buses. Many countries mandate the wearing of protective equipment such as protective clothing and a helmet.

Pedestrian

A pedestrian is a person travelling on foot, whether walking or running. In modern times, the term usually refers to someone walking on a road or footpath. Because pedestrians are not protected by their vehicle they are classified as vulnerable road users, especially children, elderly and persons with disabilities.

Police

The police is a government agency charged with maintaining public order and security, tracking down and investigating criminal offenses, providing direct assistance and carrying out detentions.

Priority vehicle

A priority vehicle is any vehicle that is designated and authorized to respond to an emergency in a life-threatening situation. These vehicles are usually operated by designated agencies, often part of the government, but also run by charities, non-governmental organizations and some commercial companies. Emergency vehicles are permitted by law to break conventional road rules in order to reach their destinations in the fastest possible time, such as driving through an intersection when the traffic light is red, or exceeding the speed limit.

Siren

A siren is a sound signal that priority vehicles use to warn other road users that they have to pass.

Trailer

A trailer is an unpowered vehicle towed by a powered vehicle. It is commonly used for the transport of goods and materials. Sometimes recreational vehicles, travel trailers, or mobile homes with limited living facilities where people can camp or stay have been referred to as trailers.

Train

A train is a form of rail transport consisting of a series of connected vehicles that generally run along a railroad (or railway) track to transport passengers or cargo.

Tram

A tram is a rail vehicle that runs on tramway tracks along public urban streets. The lines or networks operated by tramcars are called tramways. Tram vehicles are usually lighter and shorter than main line and rapid transit trains. Today, most trams use electrical power, usually fed by a pantograph sliding on an overhead line.

Speedlimit signs in Norway are not just at the start of the speedlimit. Every speedlimit sign exept 50 and 80 are also placed with a specific distance between eachother as a reminding. If there is no speedlimit sign for a while, you are either in a 50 or 80 area, depending on the road and amout of houses/buildings

Most of these DOES NOT exist on the official Greek test. //Someone that not only practiced it in Greece, but also scraped sites that had the official test (1:1 copy to the official one) in order to build a better learning site than existing ones (still a work in progress).

I think the wording is a bit unlucky. "Warning for cyclists" is wrong. It's a "Warning OF cyclists FOR everybody". I think all those "Warning for X" signs should be "Warning of X" or "Warning against X". And then it's not really as specific as some of them are described. E.g. there's one that says "Warning for deer", which should be "Warning against wildlife crossing". It's not deer, it could be warthogs or boars or foxes as well.

Traffic signs in Portugal follow European standards, using clear symbols and colors. They regulate speed, directions, and warnings https://bomcondutor.com.pt/ . Understanding them is essential for safe driving and avoiding fines or accidents.

Driving tips are crucial, but people often forget the fun side of road trips. A good way to unwind is to play games while waiting in traffic, like maybe this cute puzzle game. <a href="https://chiikawapuzzle.art"; target="_blank">chiikawa puzzle</a>

To sum-up: A-3 and A-4 are wrong - the sign only tells you the direction of the first curve, the second one can be whatever A-6d and A-6e are not about sharpness, but about the incoming roads being one-way towards the road you're currently on A-18a is not about cattle specifically, but about farm animals or domesticated animals A-18b is not limited to deer, but any wild animals that might suddenly appear on the road, like elk or boars B-32a is literally "border control", but may also have different variations with different text meaning in general "stop here until you're explicitly allowed to go" All that info can be found on wikipedia.

2
@Unknown - Aug 08

A-4 also wrong. It means "dangerous curves — first to the left", the second one can be either left or right. It doesn't specify.

0
@Unknown - Aug 08

Wrong. This is A-6d, which "entry of the one-way road from the right". Nothing about sharpness. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_signs_in_Poland

The questions are pretty good, but unfortunately there's no variety at all. Would be nice if there were questions about things other than the signs, which are arguably one of the easiest parts of traffic rules

If you don’t wear a seatbelt, you’re just asking for trouble. Plus, knowing how to handle slippery roads is crucial, or you’ll end up in a ditch. For those who enjoy homegrown food, check this out for some cool garden-to-table ideas. https://www.growagardenrecipes.pro

The polish sign "Curve of the main road" is actually a complimentary sign showing the "actual course of priority road" and there are several thousand variations of it as this is often "crossroad specific"

I was wondering what type of exams do the Baltics use? Personally I’d like to see how they work. I’m not old enough for a drivers license yet, but I do very well at these types of exams. Already have a cyclists license, don’t think it’s will be very hard. I do fine with the car symbols, since like kids do they peak at the symbols which are near the spirometer or in it. What do y’all think? Should they add more countries to chose from or no?

2
@Unknown - Jul 07

Not helpful to study for a driver's license exam are not specific for the country. For example will say that driving under the influence of alcohol is bad, but doesn't say what the cutoff level is...as is asked in the exam. Not worth your time here....

The "exam" part is kind of misleading since it does not correspond to the official exam for each country but a quiz on the data this website has for each country.
